What personal data Corpshore Dominicana collects, why, who processes it, and the rights you hold.
Last updated:
1. Introduction and who we are
This privacy policy explains how Corpshore Dominicana S.R.L. ("Corpshore Dominicana", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares, stores and protects the personal data of visitors to this website, of prospective clients who contact us, and of candidates who apply for roles or join our talent community. It also explains the rights you have over your personal data and how to exercise them.
Corpshore Dominicana S.R.L. is a company organised under the laws of the Dominican Republic, with its registered office at Santo Domingo 10405, Dominican Republic. It is the Dominican delivery arm of Corpshore Solutions Corporation, headquartered in Toronto, Canada. For the purposes of Dominican Republic Law No. 172-13 on the Comprehensive Protection of Personal Data ("Ley 172-13") and, where it applies, the European Union General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), Corpshore Dominicana is the party responsible for the personal data processed through this website.
If you have any question about this policy, or you wish to exercise your rights, you can contact our data-protection function at info@corpshore.solutions, or write to us at the registered office above.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy covers personal data we process in our capacity as controller through corpshore.com.do and its associated forms, booking tools and communications. It does not cover:
- Client-directed processing. Where we process personal data on behalf of a client as part of a delivery engagement (for example, a client's customer records handled by our teams), we act as a processor under the client's instructions and their own privacy notice governs that processing. Our contractual data-processing terms with the client, not this policy, apply.
- Third-party sites. Websites we link to have their own privacy notices, and we are not responsible for their practices.
Please read this policy together with our cookie policy, our data protection notice (Ley 172-13) and, if you are in Europe, our GDPR notice.
3. Key terms
To make this policy clear: "personal data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; "processing" means any operation performed on personal data, such as collection, use, storage, disclosure or deletion; a "data subject" is the individual the personal data is about; a "controller" decides why and how personal data is processed; and a "processor" processes personal data on a controller's behalf. "Consent" means a free, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of your agreement to a particular processing.
4. The personal data we collect
We collect only the data we need, and only what you give us or what is generated automatically when you use the site:
- Enquiry, proposal and configurator forms: your first and last name, work email, company, country, phone number if you choose to give it, the industry, services, team size and timeline you indicate, any figures produced by the cost calculator that you send with a request, and the message or requirement you write.
- Discovery-call bookings: the name, email and any details you enter when you book a call. Scheduling is operated through Calendly, which shares the booking details with us so we can prepare for and attend the call.
- Job applications: your name, contact details, city and country, right-to-work status, languages and proficiency, experience, current role, availability, salary expectation and work-mode preference, your CV and any documents, links or cover letter you provide, how you heard about us, and your answers to application questions. We also record the exact text and version of the consent you agree to, with a timestamp, because Ley 172-13 requires consent to be demonstrable.
- Talent community: your name, contact details, areas of interest, languages and experience level.
- Correspondence: the content of emails and messages you send us, and our replies.
- Technical and usage data: your IP address and basic request metadata, which we use for security, rate limiting and fraud prevention; and, only if you accept analytics cookies, aggregate usage and interaction data described in the cookie policy.
We do not deliberately collect special categories of data (such as health, religion or political opinions) through this site. Please do not include such data in free-text fields unless it is strictly necessary and you understand it will be processed.
5. How we collect your data
We collect personal data in three ways: directly from you, when you complete a form, book a call, apply for a role or write to us; automatically, through server logs and, with your consent, analytics technologies when you browse the site; and from third parties, namely the scheduling and anti-abuse providers that support our forms and bookings.
6. Why we use your data, and the legal basis
We process your personal data for the following purposes, each with its lawful basis under Ley 172-13 and, where applicable, the GDPR:
- To respond to enquiries and prepare proposals. Basis: to take steps at your request prior to entering an agreement, and our legitimate interest in developing our business.
- To schedule and hold discovery calls. Basis: steps at your request and our legitimate interest.
- To evaluate job applications and run recruitment. Basis: steps at your request prior to a possible employment relationship, our legitimate interest in staffing our operations, and your consent for the specific processing described in the application consent.
- To operate the talent community. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To secure the site and prevent abuse. Basis: our legitimate interest in the integrity and availability of our services, and compliance with our legal obligations.
- To measure and improve the site. Basis: your consent to analytics cookies.
- To send you communications you have asked for. Basis: your consent.
- To comply with the law and defend legal claims. Basis: compliance with a legal obligation and our legitimate interest.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects (see section 12).
7. Consent and how to withdraw it
Where we rely on your consent, you give it by a clear affirmative action, such as ticking a consent box or accepting analytics cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. To withdraw consent to analytics, use the cookie settings link in the site footer; to withdraw any other consent, contact us at info@corpshore.solutions or use the data subject request form on the data protection notice (Ley 172-13) page.
8. Who we share your data with
We share personal data only with the service providers that help us operate this site and our commercial and recruitment processes, and only to the extent each provider needs it:
- Zoho CRM and Zoho Recruit (customer and candidate records), Zoho Corporation
- Calendly (discovery-call scheduling), Calendly LLC
- Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection on forms), Cloudflare, Inc.
- Vercel (hosting, delivery and privacy-friendly analytics), Vercel, Inc.
- Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (usage measurement), loaded only after you accept analytics cookies
- Resend (transactional email confirmations), when enabled
Each provider processes personal data on our behalf, under contractual terms that require appropriate security and confidentiality and that limit use to our instructions. We may also share personal data within the Corpshore group where necessary to respond to your request under consistent governance, and we may disclose data where the law requires it, to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, or in connection with a corporate transaction, in which case the recipient will be bound to protect it.
9. International transfers
Corpshore Dominicana is part of a group headquartered in Canada, and some of the providers listed above process data outside the Dominican Republic. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on the recipient's contractual and technical safeguards, such as data-processing agreements and standard contractual clauses, to ensure that your data continues to be protected to a standard consistent with Ley 172-13 and, where relevant, the GDPR.
10. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, and to meet our legal and legitimate business requirements. Enquiry and proposal data is retained for up to twenty-four months after our last contact; job application data for up to twelve months after a decision, or longer where you opt in to the talent community; and consent records for the duration of the consent plus the statutory limitation period. When data is no longer needed, we delete it or irreversibly anonymise it.
11. How we protect your data
We apply organisational and technical measures proportionate to the sensitivity of the data, under information-security governance inherited from our parent. These include encryption in transit, server-side input validation, rate limiting and bot protection on forms, least-privilege and role-based access to the systems that hold personal data, logging and monitoring, secure software delivery, and vendor and sub-processor management. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your data and to detect and respond to incidents.
12. Automated decision-making
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect you. Application-support tools may help our recruiters organise information, but decisions are made by people.
13. Children's privacy
This site is directed at businesses and adult jobseekers. It is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Your rights
Subject to the conditions and exceptions in Ley 172-13 and, where it applies, the GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you and receive information about how we process it; have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected; have your data deleted where there is no lawful reason to keep it; restrict or object to certain processing; receive your data in a portable format and, where technically feasible, have it transmitted to another controller; withdraw consent at any time; and lodge a complaint with the competent authority. You will not be charged for exercising these rights in the ordinary course, and we will not treat you differently for exercising them.
15. How to exercise your rights
The easiest way to exercise your rights is the data subject request form on the data protection notice (Ley 172-13) page, which lets you request access, correction, deletion or objection. You may also contact us at info@corpshore.solutions. We verify your identity before acting, respond within the period the law requires, and keep a record of your request and our response.
16. Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal data, you may complain to the competent data-protection authority in the Dominican Republic, and, if you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, to your local supervisory authority. We would welcome the chance to address your concerns first, so please consider contacting us before you do.
17. Cookies and third-party links
Our use of cookies and similar technologies is described in the cookie policy. This site may link to third-party websites and embed third-party tools, such as the scheduling widget; those third parties have their own privacy notices and we are not responsible for their practices.
18. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our site, services and integrations change, or as the law develops. When we make a material change we will update the date shown on this page and, where appropriate, tell you by another means. Please review this policy periodically.
